About us

We have a wide range of photographic interests and skills with in our club, with photographic advice available from specialists in nature, landscape, portrait, darkroom and digital photography. We take part in inter club and regional competitions, regular internal club competitions are organised for digital projected images, prints and slides. We also have talks from distinguished photographers, as well as studio and members evenings.

We meet every Wednesday between September and April in St Oswald's Church Hall, Malvern Way, Croxley Green at 7.30pm, for a 7.45 start. New members of all ages and abilities are always warmly welcome, come along for a couple of sessions for free.

Croxley Camera Club is a member of the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs (CACC) and is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB). These two organisations give access to regional, national and international photographic activities and also provide a wide range of services to clubs and members.

Club members can insure their photographic equipment on a group ‘All Risks’ insurance policy issued to the PAGB.

Annual Subscription rates for the 2009 – 2010 season are:

Digital Group Meetings

This year we are starting a digital group so that members can get one-to-one help and advice on all things digital.

The informal sessions will be held at the Community Centre just off Barton Way every 3rd Thursday in the month from September to April.

After the success of our first DVD we are going to make a second one in celebration of our anniversary year in 2010.

Who are the Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs?

The principal objectives and rules of the CACC are to provide and maintain a list of judges and lecturers for the use of the associate Clubs, and to assist in the promotion of good standards of club photography.
The CACC also organises the annual Inter-Club Slide Competition (aka The Rose Bowl Competition), the Inter-Club Championships, and the Audio-Visual Competition.

Member Clubs are drawn from a broad area centered on the Chilterns and Thames Valley region, covering Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, West London and parts of Northamptonshire. More information can be found at www.chilternsassociationofcameraclubs.co.uk

Who are the PAGB?

The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) is an organisation that co-ordinates specific activities for photographic clubs in England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. It does this through 15 geographical regions known as Federations.

PAGB organises national competitive photographic events for its Federations and for clubs. It also offers other services such as Recorded Lectures to clubs and its own photographic Distinctions (known as awards for photographic merit) direct to qualifying club members.

PAGB has strong links with similar organisations in different countries throughout the world through its membership of FIAP (The International Federation of Photographic Art). More information can be found at www.pagb-photography-uk.co.uk
